This test provide you with detailed information on how adrenal and sex hormones are being produced AND metabolized in the body. DUTCH stands for Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones. Precision Analytical offers 3 different DUTCH test panels:

  • DUTCH Adrenals (daily free cortisol and cortisone pattern, DHEA-S, cortisol and cortisone metabolites)

INTESTINAL PERMEABILITY

This test examines small intestinal absorption and barrier function in the bowel.

To assess intestinal permeability, the lab measures the ability of two non-metabolized sugar molecules to permeate the intestinal mucosa. The client drinks a pre-measured amount of lactulose and mannitol. The degree of intestinal permeability or malabsorption is reflected in the levels of the two sugars recovered in a urine sample collected over the next 6 hours.

Cost: $90 + $20 Postage

LIVER DETOXIFICATION PROFILE

The NutriPATH Liver Detoxification Profile is a functional test to assess the ability of an individual to process caffeine, aspirin, and paracetamol by assessing certain metabolites in saliva and urine specimens measuring the different phases of liver
detoxification.

MARKERS INCLUDED ON THIS TEST:

  • Phase I Oxidation – Caffeine Clearance
  • Phase II Conjugation – Glutathionation, Glycination, Sulphation, Glucuronidation

Cost: $230 + $20 Postage

SIBO sample report.jpg

SMALL INTESTINAL BACTERIAL OVERGROWTH (SIBO)

To test for SIBO, both hydrogen and methane gas production is measured after the consumption of a lactulose solution. Excessive gas production of either or both gases indicates the presence of SIBO. This test uses a lactulose solution to detect SIBO. Lactulose is preferable to glucose because it can detect SIBO throughout the entire small intestine, whereas glucose only can detect SIBO in the very upper part of the small intestine. Glucose testing does not look for SIBO in the middle or lower small intestine – where the overgrowth is more likely to be.

Sample: Breath (a total of 10 samples are collected every 20 minutes for 3 hours)

Cost: $300 +  Postage

GI Path Sample report.jpg

GI PATHOGEN SCREEN (Stool)

The NutriPATH GI Pathogen Screen looks for the presence of pathogens, including H Pylori, in the gastrointestinal tract.

MARKERS INCLUDED ON THIS TEST:

  • CDSA I – via microscopy – includes several markers, please see sample report below for details.
  • Faecal Multiplex – Parasitic Pathogens and Bacterial Pathogens -To detect pathogens, the lab uses PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) technology to detect the DNA of microorganisms. – please see sample report below for details.
  • H Pylori Antigen

Cost: $340 + $20 Postage
